jeeeeeeeeeeeesus wept, getting a tattoo is tantamount to self harming? what the fuck?

The first guy was drinking when he got his tattoo…I don’t know the rules and variations over there, but I know that my tattoo artist, and other’s that I have met in  the US have to be certified by the board of health, you must be over 18. sober. and my tattoo artist will not tattoo anywhere that cannot be covered by clothing. Also, she does not take walk ins..in other words you have to think about it. ( I know there are walk-ins, I went to one in Hollywood who did brilliant work)

It’s sad to hear that for some it is akin to ‘self harm’ to them. For me it is a way to express myself, and I know I am not alone. Not to mention, the feel of the needle on my skin makes me feel better psychologically. I love getting tattooed and plan on getting plenty of work done. Tattoos are permanent, and if you can’t fathom that or can’t deal with possible consequences, don’t get one!
